Welcome to North Wind Books at Finlandia University

North Wind Books may be the most interesting independent small bookshop in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  Part of Finlandia University, NWB is much more than a traditional university bookstore.  Special book collections feature Finnish, Great Lakes and Upper Michigan history and literature, and a wide selection of related topics including maritime history, copper mining, Native Americans, nature and the environment. An entire room of the bookshop is dedicated to children's picture books and young adult fiction.  There is also a large selection of adult trade books that will satisfy even the most discriminating reader.  Be sure not to miss the frequent author book signings hosted by North Wind Books.  Autographed copies of titles by many well-known contemporary authors are available for purchase.
